who is this guy anyways

• Born in 1953 in Bad Reichenhall, Bavaria, West Germany
• Began studying Industrial Design at Munich University of Applied Sciences
• He won the Audi Scholarship to study at the Royal College of Art in London in 1979.
• Worked with Audi designing some of their most popular vehicles, (A3, A6, Audi TT) from 1978-1996.
• Moved over to working on extremely popular Volkswagen vehicles, designing some of the most memorable VWs on the road including the VW New Beetle and the Golf.
• Hired by Kia in 2006 as part of a brand overhaul, with design as the new corporate direction and mission statement.
• Schreyer went right to work moulding Kia into an identifiable brand, trying to fix what he termed the 'neutral image' of Kia's aesthetic.
• The Tiger Nose corporate grille was launched in 2007 on the Kee concept vehicle, in an effort to create a recognizable 'face' for the Kia brand. Schreyer said about the new look that he wanted "a powerful visual signal, a seal, an identifier. The front of a car needs this recognition, this expression. A car needs a face and I think the new kia face is strong and distinctive. Visibility is vital and that face should immediately allow you to identify a Kia even from a distance."
• Schreyer commented again on the grille in 2009, saying "Tigers are powerful, yet kind of friendly." The nose is "three-dimensional - like a face, not just a surface with a mouth drawn on it. From now on, we'll have it on all our cars."
• Since signing on with Kia as their lead design, he's been the driving force behind the brand's new direction, penning the new Forte and Kia Optima, as well as the Sorento, Sportage, the new Rio, most of the Kia lineup.
